I was contacted my the Monster Jam people to provide a balloon sculptor (myself) and 2 face painters for the show in Cincinnati at the Paul Brown stadium for the "Pit Party." It paid VERY WELL, but oh Lord was it a killer. Outside (they did put up a tent for us) in the 95+F temp. At 2 PM SHARP the crowd started in and at 2:02 we had a line. From then on all three of us were BUSY!!, I mean so busy we could not get up to go pee and thank goodness we brought our own water to drink. Then at 5 PM it ended but the security and police had to stop our lines so we could leave. Face painters made over $200 in tips alone which frosted me because I only made $50 in tips.
Got home at 7, sat in my chair and fell asleep until 7 this morning. I'm still tired from the dehydration and my hands and shoulders still hurt, but it was worth it.
